Developer plans extended-stay hotel in west Omaha

A new extended stay hotel is going up in west Omaha near Village Pointe Shopping Center.

Kinseth Hotel Corp., based in North Liberty, Iowa, has plans for a Home2 Suites by Hilton weekly stay hotel at about North 179th and Chicago Streets, across the street from Hilton Garden Inn Omaha West, which is also owned by Kinseth.

President Les Kinseth said construction will begin in May, with a planned opening in early 2014.

Home2 Suites by Hilton’s target market are guests staying longer than seven days. Kinseth said the hotel will have 107 single rooms and suites, all featuring kitchenettes with full-sized refrigerators, microwaves and cooking utensils.
The hotel’s amenities will include an indoor pool, fitness center and outdoor patios with grills and a fire pit.

“We felt that the market did need an extended stay hotel on the west side of Omaha,” Kinseth said.

Kinseth said a Home2 Suites by Hilton is also planned for Lincoln.

Kinseth Hotel Corp. operates about 90 hotels in 13 different states, including a Best Western – Settle Inn, Sleep Inn & Suites near Eppley Airfield and two Super 8 hotels in addition to the Hilton Garden Inn in Omaha. The company also owns and operates four hotels in Council Bluffs and four in Lincoln.

  • Everything worked out great. We are at the end of our season, but I will definitely use you in the future for my travels needs for 2007. The rates you gave were very competitive–better than ones that I get online or over the phone.

  • “Your system is very friendly to the customer and understandable from the very first page. Thank you again for your program and system.”

  • My name is Joey Tovar and I own a windmill construction company. I used Extended Stayer twice now for my employees- once in California and once in Texas. I can honestly say that I have saved hundreds of dollars by using Extended Stayer. We used to pay whatever expedia and hotels.com charged but with extended stayer hotels are knocking down their price by 20-30% off those rates because we stay months at a time.
